Volunteerism

Below is a list of organizations who frequently take volunteers, as well as a list of places who help scouts with Eagle Projects. Most organizations require older volunteers, but some places do have opportunities for younger volunteers. The following are brief descriptions of each category:

• Harp Program // Harpists can schedule a time to volunteer their talent at UVRMC

• Humane Society of Utah // Opportunities to work with dogs and cats in the shelter or foster animals
• Kids on the Move // Opportunities for those younger than 16 (with adult supervision) are available. They also have weekly opportunities to volunteer in childcare while parents are taking classes.

• Recreation and Habilitation (RAH)
• Relay for Life (American Cancer Society) // Get involved by participating or volunteering. Call 1-800-227-2345 for more information or to be connected to your local office.
• Scera Theater
• South Utah Valley Animal Shelter // Must commit to once a week for 6 months. Volunteers start with cleaning duties and work up to assisting customers, working with animals, and helping at events.
• Special Olympics Utah // Must be at least 8-years-old
